Department Of Training And Placement

     The Department Training and Placement was brought into existence in the year 2002. Placement in companies and training the students forms a vital role in shaping the students to face the challenges of future. The Department conducts various training sessions for students by bringing into campus various trainers from the industry and conduct workshops and seminar. The department is responsible for attaining and maintaining the protocols of industry institutional relationship for college. Various companies have been approached and been brought into the campus for placement.

     The department has gained a phenomenal growth and recognition in the industry thereby attracting more and more recruiters over the course of time students are trained to the best standards and have also gained placement through off campus recruiters in the top level companies. The cell takes initiatives to improve the students caliber by conducting periodical technical I aptitude tests, mock interviews, group discussions etc. The training and placement department also continuously receive support from institutes like NIPM [National Institute of Personnel Management) and CII [Confederation of Indian Industries). Apart training and developing the students, the cell also takes initiatives in conduction "FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME" by eminent consultants the core concept behind this programme is to provide staff members with several techniques to enhance their teaching skills, facilitation skills, presentation skills by various group activities and role plays.

The following training programs for students/faculties were conducted during the current academic year(2008-2009):

  1. *Communication Skills Development training program (36 Hours) for Second B.Tech and First MCA/MBA students by M/S Blue Lotus, Chennai.

  2. *Career Skills training program and Aptitude training (42 Hours) for Third B.Tech and Second MBA/MCA students by M/S Blue Lotus, Chennai currently under progress.

  3. *Faculty Development program (3 Days) called "Train the Trainers" by M/S Sutherland Global Services, Chennai on Language Lab curriculum for faculties of the College to improve the English communication skills of students.

  4. *Ma Foi Consultants Chennai/Pondicherry addressed the MBA students of the college, on opportunities available for them in Retail and Pharmaceuticals sectors.
